FAQs - Policy Management

  • Your policies are the most crucial platform to provide information and guidance to your users on their conduct and use of technologies within your organisation. They are the best way to lay a solid foundation for cybersecurity practices. Policy Management is the process of creating, communicating, and maintaining policies, standards, and procedures within an organisation.

  • Managing policies can be time consuming, expensive, and can easily fall off the radar when you get busy with the day-to-day running of your business. The Impetus Policy Management Software houses all your policies in one place, making them more accessible to all of your users. Good policy management supports communication of boundaries and expectations, establishes a culture of compliance within an organisation, can protect an organisation from litigation and lays a foundation to assist in achieving an organisation’s objectives.

  • Our Impetus software takes the pain out of governance, auditing and compliance surrounding policies. Impetus means “something that makes a process or activity happen or happen more quickly” which exactly what our software does. Never miss a review or expiry data again with automated reminders. Tasks and changes are automatically sent to users to notify them of their required actions. The portal allows users to read and accept new policies and changes to existing policies electronically. You can assign roles to users based on the level of access required and keep track of all activity in the portal with logging.

  • You can sign up for an account on our website by following this link. You will need an account to access to Imeptus software and our policies. You will need to make sure you obtain authorisation of your organisation to create an account on their behalf.

Our prices are based on a per user per month model and offer monthly or annual payment options.

  • You can select the ‘Upgrade my plan’ option from the navigation pane in the Impetus software or from the ‘Policies’ page by clicking the link provided. This will take you to our subscription calculator where you can see the monthly and annual cost of the subscription

  • We can process credit and debit card transactions through the Impetus subscription portal. Please contact us if you require an alternative arrangement to be made.

  • When you sign up for an Impetus account, you will be requested to enter an account name. This creates a domain in our platform for your users to log into using their personal credentials to access your policies, standards and procedure documentation. This separates your content and your users from anyone else who uses the platform. Your account name will look something like “accountname.cybertribe.nz”. If you would like more information about how we secure our systems, please get in touch via the contact form on our site here.

  • Yes, we off discounts for both charities and non-profit organisations. You can find more information here, or get in touch with us for more information.

FAQs - User Awareness Training

  • Security awareness training is about educating users of all skill levels and expertise about how to keep themselves and their businesses safe online. Topics can range from general good practices and cyber hygiene to how to spot a scam or investigate malicious activities, as well as what to do if you come across something suspicious or suffer an attack.

  • Roughly 90% of all cyber crime can be related back to human error. As cyber threats continue to rise, we can’t always rely on technology to keep ourselves, our families, and our livelihoods safe. By building the right skills and raising awareness we can reduce the likelihood of making a mistake that could have disastrous consequences.

  • Everyone’s experiences are different when it comes to the threats we face online. We all engage in different activities, using different tools and technologies. But there’s one thing we know for sure, we all use the Internet at some point in our everyday lives, whether it’s for work or for play.
The team at Cyber Tribe come from a range of different backgrounds in their personal and work lives. With extensive experience working in IT and cybersecurity areas in New Zealand and around the world we’ve learned a thing or two over the years. We know a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work and will create a program customised to suit your desired outcomes with the best fit for your budget.
We focus on making learning these essential skills achievable, friendly and fun for all ages and all ability levels.

  • Cybersecurity awareness is like a muscle - the more you exercise it and train yourself, the better you will become. Some organisations believe that attending one big session and ticking the box off for the year is enough. While we believe interactive, classroom-style sessions can be hugely beneficial, we also believe in smaller, more consistent engagement in user awareness training activities throughout the year to continue to exercise those cybersecurity muscles. We have a number of solutions to tackle training in bite-sized pieces throughout the year to keep those skills fresh and developing consistently.

  • Because everyone learns differently, there may be some strategies that work for you and that don’t work for others. Our services are customised to suit the audience we are addressing, whether it’s a technically skilled group or average New Zealanders. You can contact us to get a quote or more information about our tailored programs for your organisation or community group.
